Inspherion SmartLabel is a program that allows teachers and students to create and work on customized interactive labeling exercises. For example, an interactive map exercise that can be electronically distributed to students, even auto-graded!

Teachers can easily reuse existing paper-based maps, diagrams and other labeling exercises, and extend them by adding interactivity to them. Inspherion SmartLabel includes features that allow teachers to quickly create multiple variations of any exercise that can assess several levels of student proficiency.

Your Problems

Our Solution
Teachers tired of photocopying map exercises and diagrams for class, and physical restrictions of paper-based labeling exercises?
Looking for a way to create publisher-quality supplementary material at a fraction of the cost?
Interested in a better return from existing paper-based worksheets?
Interested in shortening feedback turnaround time?
Teachers struggling with classes filled with students with wildly disparate skill-levels?
No more physical restrictions of paper
Virtualize the labeling experience for your students and teachers. Teachers no longer have to remember to make 23 copies of a worksheet for today's class, 25 copies for tomorrow's class, and 34 for the one next week. With Inspherion SmartLabel, they create an exercise once, and use it any number of times. Digital labeling exercises offer all the convenience and familiarity of traditional paper-based exercises, and offer additional features - students can choose from a variety of response styles, receive immediate feedback, erase answers and start all over!
New Interactive labeling exercise in minutes, not days
Do you purchase material to supplement end of chapter exercises in text books? With Inspherion SmartLabel, teachers can create interactive exercises to suit the specific needs of their class in a matter of minutes. And you won't have to spend weeks training your teachers - SmartLabel requires no programming skills. All they have to do is select an image for the labeling exercise, insert labels at the right locations, and enter the right answers for the labels - the labeling exercise is now ready!
Old worksheets, new value
Teachers don't have to throw away their paper workbooks, maps, diagrams - SmartLabel allows them to be reused. Scan existing paper-based materials, and add interactive labels to them. Smartlabel is Tablet PC ready, and provides a learning environment that is as natural and as intuitive as using pen on paper. We allow your teachers to continue with time-tested instruction methods without diminishing any of the learning value.
Auto-assessment saves teachers' time
When used with the i-Symphony Learning Platform, teachers can leverage the auto-assessment feature of Inspherion SmartLabel. Relieve your teachers from grading routine exercises. Students benefit from immediate feedback.
More engaged learning for all skill levels
Teachers can use the same exercise to keep all their students challenged and engaged - from the at-risk students to the straight-A group. An exercise is created only once - SmartLabel automatically generates variations that demand different skill levels to solve the exercise. For example, for any given exercise, the following variations are automatically generated:
  • Students write or type answers in blank spaces provided, or
  • Students drag and drop answers that have been scattered over the image in a jumbled or shuffled manner, or
  • They select the right answer from a list of possible answers. This list may provide a range of answers from two per label to five or more possible answers, or
  • Students drag and drop the answers from a list of possible answers located in an 'answer area' adjacent to the image being labeled
